ASICS is poised to become the first sports apparel company to create an official NFT collection, you heard that right ASICS. We've seen multiple bootleg fashion NFTs, we've even seen NFTs from luxury giants and also we've seen sneaker NFTs, however Asics is the first official apparel company to take the next step.
189 unique non fungible tokens are to be offered by Asics which consist of nine digital versions of Asics shoes. Each NFT’s are to be offered for sale via auction in a limited edition of 20, with a unique gold edition as the prime auction piece which also enables complimentary future Asics NFT’s.
All proceeds from the NFT auctions will fund the new ASICS digital google artist-in-residence program, a platform created for all news and old digital artists alike to envision ASICS’ ongoing NFT drops. Bidding on the ASICS NFTs will begin on OpenSea July 15 and ends July 19.
